About the role

You own the plumbing behind a law firm's marketing: the tracking scripts, the CRM integrations, and the reporting that connects ad spend to signed cases. Most firms run marketing without knowing which channel produced the case that paid for the month, and you are the person who closes that gap. You will work with the marketing lead, the intake team, and outside agencies, holding everyone to one version of the numbers. This is not a content or social media job. If you like clean data, working attribution models, and being the reason a firm cuts a channel that was quietly wasting money, this fits.

Key responsibilities

Tracking and Attribution

  • Set up and maintain conversion tracking across Google Tag Manager, GA4, Google Ads, and Meta.
  • Configure call tracking in CallRail or similar and map numbers to the right campaigns and landing pages.
  • Build and maintain the attribution model that ties a lead back to its first and last touch.
  • Audit tracking monthly and fix broken tags, duplicate conversions, and misfiring events before they distort a report.
  • Set UTM standards and enforce them across every campaign, vendor, and landing page.

CRM and Intake Integrations

  • Connect lead sources to the firm's CRM or case management system so no lead arrives without a source attached.
  • Build and maintain automations, workflows, and lead routing rules in HubSpot, Lead Docket, Clio Grow, or Litify.
  • Work with the intake team to make sure statuses and stages are used consistently.
  • Clean duplicate and malformed records, and set rules that stop them from recurring.
  • Troubleshoot failed syncs between forms, ad platforms, phone systems, and the CRM.

Cost Per Signed Case Reporting

  • Pull spend from every ad platform and reconcile it against signed cases in the CRM.
  • Report cost per lead, cost per qualified lead, and cost per signed case by channel and campaign.
  • Build dashboards in Looker Studio or the firm's BI tool that leadership can read without asking you what a number means.
  • Flag channels where cost per signed case is drifting before the next budget cycle.
  • Document how each number is calculated so the reporting survives a change in staff.

Channel and Vendor Performance

  • Track performance of agencies and lead vendors against the same attribution standard used internally.
  • Prepare the data the firm brings to monthly agency calls.
  • Test landing pages and forms for tracking accuracy before campaigns launch.
  • Recommend budget shifts based on what the case data shows, not what the platform dashboards claim.

Qualifications

  • Three or more years in marketing operations, marketing analytics, or demand generation, ideally supporting a services business that buys leads.
  • Hands-on work with Google Tag Manager, GA4, Google Ads, and Meta Ads Manager, including building conversion events yourself rather than briefing someone else to do it.
  • Experience with at least one CRM or intake platform such as HubSpot, Salesforce, Lead Docket, Clio Grow, Litify, or Filevine.
  • Working knowledge of call tracking tools such as CallRail, and automation tools such as Zapier or Make.
  • Comfort building reports in Looker Studio, Power BI, or spreadsheets, including joins across spend data and CRM exports.
  • Enough spreadsheet depth to reconcile two systems that disagree and explain which one is wrong.
  • Ability to explain a tracking problem in plain language to attorneys and intake staff who do not think in funnels.
  • Reliable overlap with United States business hours and the discipline to run a monthly reporting cycle without being chased.
  • Precise about definitions and documentation, since attribution only works if everyone counts the same way.
